What's the difference between CBD and THC?
Both CBD and THC are cannabinoids that can be extracted from the hemp plant. Their chemical structures are almost identical—but only almost. According to the WHO, CBD is considered safe because it doesn't have psychoactive effects. For THC, on the other hand, the WHO says it does have psychoactive effects.

CBD products with one percent THC: The legal situation in Switzerland
CBD products usually contain only about 0.2 to 0.3 percent THC. The allowed maximum in Switzerland is one percent. For comparison: within the EU, the limit is only 0.3 percent.
CBD products with less than one percent THC can be sold freely and are legal to possess. If the THC content is higher, the product falls under the Narcotics Act.
Why do CBD products contain THC?
THC occurs naturally in the cannabis plant. When extracting CBD, it's not possible to completely rule out that some THC will also be extracted from the plant. A complete separation also risks destroying the chemical structure of the CBD.
