At Green Passion you buy CBD hash in eight varieties, each in 2, 5 or 10 grams. All varieties come from Swiss indoor cultivation. The CBD content ranges from 16 percent for Golden Maroc to 35 percent for Manali Cream.
Hash, also called hashish, is the separated resin of the hemp flower. Only the trichomes are used, that is, the fine resin glands on the flower. No solvents are used. The resin is sieved, pressed or rubbed by hand.
How resin becomes hash
Pressed hash
For pressed hash, dried flowers are shaken through ever finer sieves until the resin crystals separate from the plant mass. The finer the sieve, the purer the resin. For Zero Zero, only what passes the smallest sieve size gets through.
The sieved resin is then pressed. The pressing pressure determines the consistency: little pressure gives a loose mass that crumbles when divided. More pressure gives a compact block. The aroma comes from the terpene profile of the source plant.
Charas: hand-rubbed hash
Charas is the oldest method of making hash. The resin is rubbed by hand directly from the fresh, living plant. The technique comes from northern India and Nepal and is still widespread there today, for example in the Parvati Valley and the Kullu Valley.
Charas Passion is the only hand-rubbed variety in our range.
Kief: sieved resin without pressing
Kief is sieved resin glands in almost pure form, pressed little or not at all. The result is a light, powdery to slightly compressed material. Our kief is called Super Pollen. It has a mild, floral aroma and, at 31 percent, one of the highest CBD values in the range.
Moonrocks: flowers with extract and crystal
Moonrocks are not hash in the strict sense. They are indoor flowers dipped in hemp extract and coated with CBD crystal and pollen. They have their own category: CBD Moonrocks.
Creamy, crumbly or powdery: varieties by consistency
With hash, you choose first by consistency, then by aroma and CBD content. The percentages come from the product pages.
- Creamy are Black Afghan (26% CBD, earthy and spicy), Red Lebanese (26%, floral and earthy) and Manali Cream (35%, spicy and earthy). You will find them under creamy hash, together with Charas Passion.
- Crumbly are Golden Maroc (16%, floral and spicy) and Zero Zero (26%, floral and earthy). Under crumbly hash you will also find Old School (24%, floral and spicy).
- Powdery is Super Pollen (31%, spicy and floral), listed under powdery hash.
If you are looking for light, finely sieved hash, Zero Zero and Super Pollen are the right choice. Black Afghan is the darkest variety in the range, Manali Cream the softest. Golden Maroc is firmly pressed and has a clear structure.
How to recognise good hash
Four characteristics help you assess the quality of a variety:
- The colour reveals the production method. Dark hash such as Black Afghan has a high resin concentration. Light hash such as Zero Zero or Super Pollen comes from very fine sieving. Neither is better in itself, they are different types.
- With consistency, what matters is whether it matches the chosen category. Creamy hash is soft and mouldable, crumbly hash is drier and easy to divide, powdery hash is loose and fine. Each of these consistencies results from the production method.
- The smell tells you how fresh it is. Fresh hash smells clearly of its variety, spicy, earthy, floral or sweetish. A weak, musty or chemical smell points to poor storage or inferior raw material.
- The declaration includes the CBD and THC content of each variety. With us, these values are on every product page, together with CBG content and terpenes.
THC content of the varieties and the limit in Switzerland
In Switzerland, hemp and preparations made from it count as narcotics if their total THC content is at least 1.0 percent. This is set out in the FDHA Ordinance on the Narcotics Lists (BetmVV-EDI, SR 812.121.11), Annex 5 (list d), as of 13 March 2026.
According to the product pages, our hash varieties are between 0.4 and 0.9 percent THC. The lowest are Black Afghan, Golden Maroc and Super Pollen with 0.4 percent each, the highest Manali Cream and Zero Zero with 0.9 percent. So our varieties contain THC in small amounts, but stay below the limit.

FAQ about CBD hash
CBD flowers are the dried flowers of the hemp plant. For CBD hash, only the resin of these flowers is separated and pressed, sieved or rubbed by hand. That is why the CBD content of our hash is between 16 and 35 percent, and that of our flowers between 11 and 20 percent. You choose flowers by variety and cultivation type, hash by consistency and production method.
CBD itself is not classified as a narcotic. Cannabidiol is not listed in the lists of the BetmVV-EDI. Whether a hemp product counts as a narcotic depends on the total THC content, the limit is 1.0 percent.
Pressed hash is made by sieving dried flowers and then pressing the resin crystals. Charas is obtained by rubbing it by hand directly from the fresh, living hemp plant. This results in a softer, stickier texture and a sweet, earthy aroma that is clearly different from pressed hash.
Kief is the sifted resin glands of the hemp plant in almost pure form, pressed little or not at all. It has a powdery consistency and the mildest, cleanest aroma profile of all hash types. Super Pollen is the kief in our range: ideal as an introduction to the world of CBD hash.
Keep CBD hash cool, dark and airtight, for example in a small glass jar. Heat and direct sun make the terpenes evaporate faster, so the hash loses aroma.
