What Natural American Spirit means

Natural American Spirit is the full brand name, not a separate variety. The manufacturer states that it processes tobacco without additives.

This statement describes the composition. It doesn't describe the product's health classification and isn't meant to. Tobacco without additives is still tobacco. There's no form of tobacco smoke that is harmless, and leaving out additives doesn't change that.

We're spelling this out clearly because the brand name is regularly read differently from how it's meant.

What applies to tobacco products in Switzerland

Since 1 October 2024, the Federal Act on Tobacco Products and Electronic Cigarettes (TabPG) has been in force. For the first time, it brings tobacco products, e-cigarettes and nicotine pouches together in one law and regulates sales, advertising and sponsorship.
