THC oil in Switzerland: the 1 percent limit
In Switzerland, the total THC content is what counts. Hemp and objects and preparations made from it with at least 1.0 percent total THC are listed in list d of prohibited narcotics. This is set out in the FDHA Ordinance on the Narcotics Lists (BetmVV-EDI, SR 812.121.11), Annex 5, as of 13 March 2026. THC and CBD are two different cannabinoids of the hemp plant. For the classification of an oil, the THC value counts, not the CBD content.
THC content of the CBD oils
According to the product information, the 10% oil contains under 0.6 percent THC, the 20% and the 30% oil are under 0.9 percent. The main component is CBD. As full spectrum oils, they also contain other cannabinoids such as CBG as well as terpenes and flavonoids. They are made by CO₂ extraction from organic hemp, the carrier oil is hemp seed oil.
How to check the information on a hemp oil
For a hemp oil sold in shops, the CBD and THC content in percent belong on the label and in the product information. If the THC value is missing, it is unclear whether the oil is below the 1 percent limit. For the three DOLOCAN oils, both values are on the product page.
