Peeled organic hemp seeds from Green Passion are hemp seeds that have been freed from their shell, with a mild, nutty taste and a protein content of 32%. They contain a complete amino acid profile as well as essential omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. Vegan, organically certified, and without additives.

Peeled hemp seeds (150g) have had the hard outer shell removed – the result is a softer, mildly nutty core (hemp heart) with 32% protein. Unpeeled hemp seeds (500g) still have the shell on – they’re crunchier, a bit more bitter in taste, and contain more fiber. Peeled seeds are better for raw food and smoothies, unpeeled ones for baking.

Peeled organic hemp seeds are great as a topping for smoothies, salads, bowls, and yogurt, as an add-in for muesli and porridge, or as an extra for baking and cooking. Thanks to their soft texture and mild taste, they fit into almost any meal. You can also eat them straight as a snack.

Organic hemp seeds don’t contain any relevant amounts of CBD or THC. These cannabinoids are concentrated in the flowers and leaves of the hemp plant, not in the seeds. Hemp seeds are a pure food product and in Switzerland they’re completely legal and freely sold as a foodstuff.

Store hulled organic hemp seeds in a cool, dry place away from light in an airtight container – ideally in the fridge. Since the shell is missing, the kernels are more sensitive to oxidation than unhulled seeds. Use up within 2-3 months after opening.
